When the Veil Slips, Spillwords

I love Spillword's beautiful website. They've put a lot a lot of work into making it easy to navigate and lovely to look at.

That is one of the reasons that I am always excited when they accept one of my works for their sites. They've published "When the Veil Slips" today. It's a Halloween poem, so it is incredibly seasonal and timely.

5 Drabbles, Unraveled, Black Hare Press

My latest publication is fresh off the presses. I've had five drabble fiction pieces published in Unraveled.

From their website "Murder mysteries, criminal chronicles, whodunnits, revenge, suspicion, mayhem, intrigue, and lots more. What miracles can one hundred debut to bestselling authors do with 100 words? More than three hundred 100-word drabbles from around the world."

Black Hare Press collects dark tales of  into this book and five of them are mine (and one is my husbands! "Hook, Line, and ...")

                                                  Calling Card
                                             Competitive Streak
                                                    Find Me
                                                  Petty Theft
                                             Telling Evidence

"Dark" is a lot of work for me, so I'm so excited that all five of these were accepted. I hope you follow the HERE link to buy (kindle edition is .99…

Finding Direction, Bewildering Stories

Finding Direction was published by Pilcrow & Dagger in March of 2018. Sadly, though I loved them and their editors, they closed down for various reasons.

Fortunately, Bewildering Stories has accepted it as a reprint and it is now available to read. I hope you all enjoy this story. I still love it and think about further adventures for Isa and Soros.

Follow this link to the story, and check out the rest of Bewildering Stories for more great reads!

Very Short Stories #13

My #explosion left a trail of messes to clean up later. The thrown brush on the floor. The papers all over the couch where I flung them. The kicked box that now sits crumbled in the corner. But in my defense, I messed up and had to restart the whole game.

What is that smell? Which one do you mean? The one that's like something died, the cinnamon one, or the heavy tang of mint in the air. The skunk-like one. Oh. I'm not sure, been there a few days now. Maybe it's #time to clean out your car?
