When the Veil Slips, Spillwords

Image
I love Spillword's beautiful website. They've put a lot a lot of work into making it easy to navigate and lovely to look at. That is one of the reasons that I am always excited when they accept one of my works for their sites. They've published "When the Veil Slips" today . It's a Halloween poem, so it is incredibly seasonal and timely. Enjoy!

Finding Direction, Bewildering Stories

Image
Finding Direction was published by Pilcrow & Dagger in March of 2018. Sadly, though I loved them and their editors, they closed down for various reasons. Fortunately, Bewildering Stories has accepted it as a reprint and it is now available to read. I hope you all enjoy this story. I still love it and think about further adventures for Isa and Soros. Follow this link to the story , and check out the rest of Bewildering Stories for more great reads!

Very Short Stories #13

Explosion My #explosion left a trail of messes to clean up later. The thrown brush on the floor. The papers all over the couch where I flung them. The kicked box that now sits crumbled in the corner. But in my defense, I messed up and had to restart the whole game. #vss365 Time What is that smell? Which one do you mean? The one that's like something died, the cinnamon one, or the heavy tang of mint in the air. The skunk-like one. Oh. I'm not sure, been there a few days now. Maybe it's #time to clean out your car? #converstory Estival The #estival sky pulsed hot and hazy over the town. The air was a thick soup and even walking a few stepped would end with shirts stuck to backs. But a quest waited for no one, and the plucky heroes began their journey. Sweat bedamned, they had a world to save. #BraveWrite Favorite The photography apps were outlawed. And yet somehow everyone found the new, accurate photos were their #favorite . It turned
